Why Vote?

You may be asking yourselves, why vote? There are a lot of good reasons. Here are three that you may relate to.

  1. You live with the consequences.
Elected officials from the local to federal level are enacting policies - from pay equality to reproductive rights - that affect your life.

  2. It’s your right.
Rights are like muscles. If you don’t use them, you can lose them. It took 150 years for citizens of every race and gender to gain the right to vote.. And more than 1.4 million American men and women in uniform have given their lives to protect this right.

  3. Your vote is your voice
If you care about how your tax dollars are being spent, the environment, censorship, education, or gun violence, it’s YOUR vote that helps determine what life in your community will be like.

What are your reasons for voting? Add them to the comments section below. All constructive comments are welcome. Comments will, however, be moderated and those deemed inappropriate will be removed.
