The Deets
A Greenville native, who grew up in Berea and now lives in the Five Forks/Simpsonville area.
Married 15 years, two school-age children (1 boy, 1 girl), 2 dogs, 2 cats.
Studying for real estate appraiser certification exam.
Enjoys baking and painting; has started to dabble in jewelry-making.
Joined LWV this year.
What brought you to the LWV in Greenville?
It was the Roe decision this summer, which engendered frustration and a need to feel as though I had some control. LWV seemed like a way to have a voice and some effect on events.
What would you like to see Greenville LWV do in the next year or so?
I’d like to see more hands-on volunteer opportunities.
What is the most surprising/interesting thing you’ve learned from being in the LWV?
So far it’s the involvement in environmental issues – I had no idea the League did that. I am excited about all the educational opportunities offered.
If you could wave your magic wand and change one thing about this area, what would it be?
More focus on infrastructure when approving development.
If you could magically become fluent in any language, what would it be?
German; through streaming services, I’ve starting watching some German TV shows.
