The details about the runoff election

The 2024 primaries are behind us and six races have runoffs. Full election results are available on the state Election Commission website.

Here’s all you need to know about the runoff election.

Candidates

Republican

  • US House CD-3: Sheri Biggs v. Mark Burns

  • SC Senate Dist. 6: Ben Carper v. Jason Elliott

  • SC Senate Dist. 12: Lee Bright v. Roger Nutt

  • SC House Dist. 28: Chris Huff v. Allen Kellett v. Kerri Smith

  • Greenville County Council Dist. 20: Alex Reynolds v. Steve Shaw

Democrat

  • Greenville County Council Dist. 25: Ennis Fant v. Derrick Quarles

Dates

The runoff election will be held on June 25. On Election Day, you will vote at your regular polling location.

There will be early voting for two days - from June 19 to June 21. Early voting will be open from 8:30 to 5 p.m. at these locations.

  • TRAVELERS REST COUNCIL CHAMBERS 155 Trailblazer Dr., Travelers Rest, SC 29690 (Fire Station)

  • MCALISTER SQUARE 225 S. Pleasantburg Dr., Ste. B10, Greenville, SC 29607 (back entrance).

  • MAULDIN SENIOR CENTER 203 Corn Rd., Greenville, SC 29607

  • MT. PLEASANT COMMUNITY CENTER 710 S. Fairfield Rd., Greenville, SC 29605

  • SIMPSONVILLE CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH 207 Davenport Rd., Simpsonville, SC 29680

Note that there is no early voting at the County Square election office.

Eligibility

If you voted in the primary, you can vote in the runoff but you must vote for the same party. If you voted in the Republican primary, you can only vote in the Republican runoff.

If you voted in neither primary, you can vote in the runoff of the party of your choice.
