What brought you to the LWV in Greenville?
I joined LWV of Greenville County after my husband and I served as poll workers in the 2020 election. That experience piqued my interest in the process and in getting more involved in encouraging people to vote as well as understanding more about the policies supported by LWV.

What would you like to see Greenville LWV do in the next year or so?
More in-person meetings and activities! This is key for building relationships. Personally, I’d like to get more involved in policy activities such as voting rights, education, abortion rights, criminal justice reform.

What is the most surprising/interesting thing you’ve learned from being in the LWV?
I was not familiar with the LWV previously, so I’m learning about the League’s collaboration with other organizations and the policy/advocacy work, the League’s involvement in a wide range of policy issues.

What is your favorite thing to do in this area?
My husband and I are foodies, so we are enjoying the growing Greenville food scene and all the new restaurants. I have lots of recommendations!

If money and time were not constraints, what would you spend your time doing?

Definitely more travel, all over the world! We try to check off at least one to two destinations every year. This year we are planning trips to show New York City to some friends (my husband is from that area) and also a relaxing beach trip to Antigua. Our next “bucket list” destination would probably be Portugal.
